After writing my book, "The BPD in Me," I recognized a pressing need for individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and their families to have supportive spaces to discuss the challenges they face. To address this, my wife and I founded The BPD In Me, a company dedicated to sharing our journey with BPD and facilitating peer support groups as well as offering one-on-one peer consultations. These sessions, available both in person and via Zoom, aim to help individuals develop the skills needed to manage BPD and start living a life worth living. I have successfully completed a Certificate in Mindfulness and a Peer Support Specialist Certificate through the University of Central Florida, which equips me with the knowledge and skills to provide effective support and guidance. At The BPD In Me, our mission is to create a compassionate and understanding community where people with BPD can share their experiences, learn the coping strategies outlined in my book, and find hope and encouragement on their journey.
Welcome, and thank you for joining us. Writing the book, "The BPD in Me," made us deeply aware of the importance of having a supportive community for those living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and their loved ones. In the early stages of our journey, we often wished for a space where we could connect with others and feel less alone in our struggles. To create that space for others, this platform is dedicated to sharing our experiences with BPD and offering meaningful peer support. Our support groups are open to individuals of all ages (18+) who are affected by Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), whether formally diagnosed or not. We also welcome family members, partners, and friends.
Participation is completely free of charge.
Our groups are led by trained peers who have firsthand experience with BPD. We offer information, validation, and hope in a supportive environment. Each session is co-facilitated by two volunteers who share their own experiences with BPD, guiding the group from a place of understanding.
Please note that our volunteers are not licensed healthcare professionals. We are not psychologists, psychiatrists, or therapists—we are peers on our own journey with BPD, sharing what we have learned along the way. We do not provide diagnoses, advice, or counseling. Our groups are intended to offer peer support and empathy based on lived experience and are not a replacement for therapy or professional consultation.
We offer both group sessions and one-on-one peer consultations, available in person or through Zoom. These sessions are crafted to help you build the skills needed to manage BPD and create a fulfilling life.
Our mission at The BPD In Me is to build a compassionate and understanding community. We aim to create a space where people with BPD, or their loved ones, can share their experiences, learn coping strategies, and find hope and encouragement along the way. Whether you’re here for support, connection, or resources, we are glad to have you with us.
